It's good movie, but not great. Just my 2 cent.

I agree.  After reading the book I was thrilled to see they were making a movie.  The previews made it look incredible.  The end product was a let-down.  It had the opportunity to be one of the best rifleman movies of all time, but they watered it down and turned it into a mediocre Hollywood period piece.  I guess they didn't think that the true history of the event was sexy enough - even if 1000 times more intense.
