| ....and it feels wonderful. I can't believe I didn't do this sooner. I much prefer the chatter over here. |

GD isn't much better. Yeah, but no one starts a thread, "I'm having a sad day today. :(" with no explanation or follow-up. Whatever

Ditched mine quite some time ago. Deleted everything I could from the page itself. Whatever they had cached somewhere is hopefully all that remains of me. Not that I had a lot of data to begin with on that shithole site. I supposedly went through the "permanent" deletion process, but you never know.

There is a deactivate option where they keep all the info and you can come back at anytime and there is a permanently delete my account option which deactivates your account for 2 weeks and then permanently deletes it. I permanently deleted my account close to a month ago. Got tired of the bullshit |

98% of my 2200 friends on fb are patriots and many of them have 5000+ friends that are all patriots do you have any idea how huge a force that is? we ferret out trolls and DUers and run them off, over here we harbor them. but if you are not going to take a stand for our guns and our country quitting is a good idea |

People who hate Facebook have a problem and the problem isn't Facebook. I have it to talk to people occasionally, make lots of smart ass remarks and post pictures of guns and dead stuff and cool things I get to do. I don't get involved in any drama, I don't get into childish Facebook fights, I'm not friends with a bunch of democrats, I'm not a slave to it and have to look at it every 5 minutes, it's just something to do when I'm bored.
If you can't use Facebook without getting mad then there's something wrong with you. |

Quoted: Quoted: Cut yourself off from your friends? Well, that's ok if you have no real friends. Maybe that's a sign. not a nice thing to say. Maybe OP is just a little depressed. He has a point though. FB at its most useful, is just a method to keep in contact with friends and relatives. If it annoys people, just trim your friends list, dont reply to stupid posts, block posts in your news feed by annoying people, and maybe just walk away for a time period. I actually think that FB has reached such a large saturation point (well in my circles) that it aint going anywhere, and its best to stick around, as leaving it will have more of a detriment than staying. This is for me though, not everyone. Its great keeping contact with mates and family who dont live nearby. I love finding out and seeing pics of births, new cars and stuff like that. You need to filter the waffle..and ditch the crap. But when get togethers need to be organised, or sporting/hobby networks tapped to connect people - FB goes great. |

You choose who you interact with. I have maybe 30-40 friends on facebook. Most are family and old friends. The only friend I have on facebook that I don't know is Steve gunslinger.

I am indifferent about it. I had it back when it first launched to colleges. Never used it much. Then they opened it to high schoolers so it became a little more MySpacey. Then opened to all and it was a lot more like MySpace. Meh.
I never had a problem but friends and family seem to have all this drama and I barely used it so I deleted right before timeline was forced. |

You're probably right |
| I like it and have been preaching the 2A gospel on it. I've lost 4 friends gained 12 in the last few weeks. Had allot of people privately ask questions, and am going to give a free Basic Pistol class to a bunch of new shooters who want to learn to defend themselves mostly women. |
