I bought a 94 .30-30 and put a 1300 12 ga on layaway at Walmart last Fri.  I would've gotten a 20ga too if they had one.

Put one 9422 Tribute Edition on layaway in one shop, a .45 Colt 94 Trapper  in another.  I hope a .45 Colt Trails End with case color will show up soon.

Still looking for the Pope Leo X Papal Commemorative Edition 94.

Winchester will not be making the 94's, 70's, or the 1300 shotgun any longer.  They are closing the plant and the rest of Winchesters line will be made overseas or something like that.

Heres a link. Winchester

I loaded up a few years back...I have a '94 trapper in .44mag sadly it has the hammer block saftey that goes thorugh the receiver other than that it is a nice little rifle. One year for anniversary gift the wife bought me a Winchester 1886 repro. in 45-70...That's a accurate rifle, heavy though. And I bought her a 9422 with a large loop lever, she had visions of twirling it around like John Wayne when played Rooster Cogburn... I told her THATwas'nt going to happen... It's a nice little .22 seems to be pretty accurate. I never thought I'd see the day when Winchester went belly up, But They had a good run...About what? 140 years?? not bad for a company whose founder used to sell shirts.....

I glad that you’re happy with your Winchesters.  I went to a local gun store the other day and they had a 94 30-30 and I almost bough it, but then I stated working the lever and it just seemed a little sloppy.  Maybe it was just this rifle.   I don't think they are as well made as the Marlin I have.  Marlins just seem to be a better made rifle.  Another thing that turned my off was that they wanted retail for it.  No Thanks!

If it were me, I would have probably bought that 30-30.  I have no idea what the halt in production will do to the value of those rifles but I am fairly certain that they won't decline.

I have a pristine Model 70 in 30-06 that will be relegated to the safe I think.  It was my deer rifle but I might pick something else up and see what happens with the values of the model 70s.

I bought a Featherweight on Monday.  IIRC, I now have 3 Model 70s in 30-06.

Local shops still had some 94s and 1300s available.
