i order an SA Dane VAR and got it within three weeks... beautiful rifle, stock needed refinishing though. did you get a Greek?
you'll love it, i guarantee it! |

I went with a USGI SA service grade. I wanted a service grade, of which there are no Danes left. And I had heard too much about the Greeks having the wood beat to death. So USGI it is. |

I got my SA about a month or so ago.
It was in pretty good shape. The receiver was built March 1944 and has a 1952 barrel on it. The wood was in pretty good, most of the dents will steam out. I am probably going to send it off to rebarrelled in .308 or have the scope mount put on it by Fulton Armory as soon as I can afford it. |

Two to three weeks as the others have said...I got to pick out a Service Grade Springfield at the CMP store at Camp Perry last week...the greatest advantage there is that you can actually select the one you want, and take it home in 10 minutes!
