My uncle was in Europe during WWII serving as a medic.  He is my hero.  One of the neatest guys I know.

And, I have a K98a Mauser he brought back!

My grandmother is a WWII veteran, US Army.  My grandfather served in the Army, and my grandmother's second husband was a marine.  They men are gone, but grandma is still around, suffering with alzheimers.  They are the finest people I ever knew in my life so far.  I miss them.  I'm thankful they were willing to serve.  My step grandad was on Iwo Jima and killed more than a few enemies of the US.
