Hello techies, my question is can a bad cpu ruin a new motherboard. had a problem wih building a pc and decided to to choose to return MB or CPU. Is it worth attempting. BTW my other thread got lost in the ever fast growing GD threads.

An overheated CPU can scortch the motherboard.
