Been shopping for a hard top, and am looking for some advice. Quadratec and 4 Wheel Drive Hardware both offer Bestop and Pavement Ends 1 piece units with upper doors for about a $200 difference between the brands.

Which is the best (or better) hard top for my 2004 TJ, and where's the best place to buy? They're both talking about $200 just for shipping, and I gotta take it off the truck!

Thanks!

Collins Bros is good, but HIGH.

Best place to find a hardtop is in your local jeep clubs.  They have EE's just like this board.

Best hard top to get?  Factory.  TJ hard tops can be found used from $750 to $1200.  Of course, full hard doors work best with hard tops.

Me personally - I have no use for the things.  They are hard to get on and off.... if I lived up north, then yes.  But down here - my Jeep is a convertible in the summer, and a ragtop in the winter.

Check/post here if you are local to DFW.  There are clubs all over Texas.

I see flawless ones for sale from Sahara's with all the options, from time to time for right around $1000.

Now you're just trying to make me look dumb.....or lazy.....or both.

Thanks again, I didn't even think to check JC Whitney. I figured they usually stocked lesser-quality stuff. So far, they've got some of the best prices for new tops.
