| Reality is, Japan is a very repressed and conservative culture that disapproves of anything above the norm. "Hammer that sticks out gets nailed down", so to speak. The exception, of course, is their entertainment media where they just go nuts and are allowed to freely express themselves in crazy ways. It's a bizzare culture. |
