Took a booze cruise in upstate NY.

I've never seen more confederate flags, country music, and 2A wear than I've seen in the Tug Hill or Oswego county.

I've lived all over the South, the UPSTATE NYers would make you blush.

Last time I wore the AoNoVA flag I was in high school to trigger feels (Dixie Outfitters).

We must have, because it got banned the year after I graduated, 15 years ago.

I lived up there for 5 years while doing a stint at Corporate. Tons of rednecks and white trash but for the most part really good people.

I loved working on the Tug Hill and areas bordering Lake Ontario. Getting sent to a project downstate was like getting the death sentence.

I grew up in the small-town south in the 1980s. I vividly remember a trip to a decent-sized town in Central PA when I was about 8. I was absolutely stunned (as an 8-year old kid, mind you) by the blatant and overt racist slurs and attitudes toward blacks people.

I'm my neck of the woods the high school parking lot is filled with sheep herder kids still rocking mullets, old gmc trucks with guns in the rear window and more lock her up stickers than I can count. Also the car to atv/dirt bike ratio on the road is about 70/30
