I had my main computer go belly up after 3 months, and got a refund from Best Buy. Went out today and got a Macbook Pro and have heard rumors that if you call Itunes help line they will allow you to re-download everything you have bought from the Itunes store. I lost a good number of movies and a ton of songs I had bought.
Has anyone ever tried this or been successful with doing this, and if so, how did you go about it? |

Worked for me once. They told me they would only allow it once per user. I sent an email to their support address explaining my hard drive taking a shit, and they gave me some link to click or something that gave iTunes the hint to redownload everything I had purchased from their store. |
| According to what Leo Laporte (radio tech guy and podcast guy), you can contact Apple customer service and plead your case. They might allow you a one-time opportunity to access your previously downloaded music. And they will strongly advise you that they will never do it again, so you better back up your music library. |

Quoted: What a PITA. How focking hard could it be for them to maintain this for people? I had my confuser go tits-up but thankfully I had an external backup drive. I'm still trying to get everything copied back over. Its a lot of bandwith and extra stress on the servers that they aren't getting paid for. |

Quoted: I understand why they don't do it as a general rule, but I'm hoping to cash in on some good vibes I've been saving for a rainy day. Anyone know what the email address is for support? I'm trying to find it, and it isn't listed anywhere I've looked. [email protected] [email protected] ?? |
