As many of you know my wife and I are (painfully slowly) building a log home.  We are at the point of finishing the inside.  We have wood everywhere, along with the usual "cabin stuff" like deer antlers and weathered "barn boards" so I wasn't happy with the cheap looking plastic grill over one of the bathroom fans.  I wanted an "industrial fan" (ahem!) for my bathroom and the high CFM models only come with cheap looking white grills.  I didn't want to look at that until I die against the beautiful "knotty pine" ceiling, so I came up with the bright idea of covering it with camouflage.  Paint can be used for the edges where the air enters but the middle is a large area that is nice and smooth so I wanted some "contact paper" in camouflage, in order to look more professional and less "home made."  I hit all the local places and had no luck.  Finally, I found some online, ordered it, and in the process found something really cool--and really cheap--camouflage replacement blades for a ceiling fan.  You can buy ceiling fans already camo'd, but they are fairly expensive and we already had a ceiling fan from my wife's house stored in our garage.  Her kitchen was trimmed in (blech!) black, so the blades are ugly black.  I didn't want to spring for a new one and have been putting off the installation as long as possible while I count pennies and spend every extra nickel we have on the various things needed to finish the cabin.  Voila!  Camouflage replacement blades from Cabela's for $19.99!!  UPS brought them today and I am a happy camper!

Well, yes--but we are avid deer hunters so we will have antlers and Realtree Timber camo stuff throughout.  The "wood everywhere" deal is very beautiful though--no carpet, no drywall, no paneling, save two panels of--you guessed it--Mossy Oak Bottomland camouflage at the end of a hallway and at the bottom of the basement stairs, on the landing.

Oh yeah--that kind of stuff is a bit of a fad right now so you can get LOTS of stuff like that.

Edit:  fxntime, my farm is in "antler alley" (north MIssouri) so the deer hunting is hard to beat.  It's cattle country so there is a lot of clover fields and oak timber--good eating deer.  YUM!
