The greatest bolt-action infantry rifle ever designed, IMO.

The art looks pretty cool. Is there more to this?

Garth Enis 303. Anti-American comic, though Garth is one of the best.

pretty cool. Thanks OP.

I have a no4 mk1 that kind of just sits around.

Everytime I decide that I should just sell it, I just can't.  It's a piece of history.

If only these old guns could talk and tell their story....

I'd posted that poem up in the last poetry thread we'd had here.

12. The General

‘GOOD-MORNING; good-morning!’ the General said
When we met him last week on our way to the line.
Now the soldiers he smiled at are most of ’em dead,
And we’re cursing his staff for incompetent swine.
‘He’s a cheery old card,’ grunted Harry to Jack
As they slogged up to Arras with rifle and pack.
   .    .    .    .

But he did for them both by his plan of attack.

Siegfried Sassoon (1886–1967).  Counter-Attack and Other Poems.  1918.

Wouldn't that be wonderful if they could? I often wonder what my Mosins have seen.

Rule .303

Someone did velcro patches a few years back. That reference is obscure enough that I would wear it in public.

i want this.

enfield converted to use 45 acp used as a sentry elimination weapon in wwII.

The De Lisle carbine or De Lisle Commando carbine was a British firearm used during World War II that was designed with an integral suppressor. That, combined with its use of subsonic ammunition, made it extremely quiet in action, possibly one of the quietest firearms ever made.[3]

Few were made as their use was limited to specialist military units.
