In the span of a less than a month, I've been asked THREE times, while sitting at stop lights, if I wanted a free home theater system. Its always a couple of young guys, in an SUV. Today, the guy said he "got it free from work". Surely the goods arent stolen, or they would want to sell 'em. Are they just gonna wait till I look in the back of their SUV and then club me in the head like a baby seal?

Maybe, maybe not.  Either way, avoid it.

http://www.scamshield.com/Sighting.asp?country=none&state=Texas&article=1
the scammers are taunting the ripped off consumers. One guy who claims to be an ex-con is threating violence towards another con-man with an AK...Which BTW is far better than an .223.  What idiots...

Stolen. We get these all of the time. Get an LP and vehicle description and call local law enforcement. Get good physical descriptions, please, and take care; these folks are often armed. We'll take it from there.

That exact same shit happened to me a few months ago...The guy blocked me in at the ATM machine saying he had some "extra" speakers he had to deliver to the casino, bla, bla...the whole time I had my Keltec P32 in my pocket aimed at the fool. damn scary- looked like a mugger van.

Old enough to know better than to stick my head in the back of some strangers van for a promise thats too good to be true. [:D] I just politely decline each time and not give it a second thought. Just figured I would ask the masses. Thanks for the links!

www.getafuckingclue.com [;)]. On another note, you should report this to the local PD. It could be your neighbors theatre system, stolen. Then yours.
