no. two different slots.
the laptops is called pcmcia. or credit card slot the pci slot is only used on desktop computers. for video cards, modems, nics, etc |

There are SOME laptops with a mini-PCI interface, though.
My IBM A31 Thinkpad has one. |

+1 - they're quite common, but you wouldn't see one unless you disassembled the computer. |

The Toshiba m45 I bought a year ago has some cover plate that's supposed to be over a "pci-express" connection of some sort though I wouldn't bank on it...this is the same model they put Panasonic dvd-r drives in and we know how well THEY work.
