If it is, then I have a serious problem.

2560 rounds of various 7.62x54R milsurp.

I plan on picking up an M44, M38, or M91/30 next week.  I just don't want to wait for ammo when it gets here.

I got a fever!  And the only prescription - is a Mosin Nagant!

Anyone else do this?

Not at all, call it "prepositioning".

I've been known to jump on an ammo deal or a mag deal without owning the corresponding arm.

Sick?
Could be, but I'll get awfully excited if anyone tries to cure me.

I would love to buy some 7.62x25mm Tins for the CZ-52 I dont have

Zhukov did that very same thing.  Same caliber even, IIRC.  Zhukov is 'sick'.  Small hands and smells like cabbage...

I bought a spam can of 7.62x54 cause I got a good deal on it.  Someday maybe I'll find a good deal on a gun to go with it.

I saw Winchester Ranger .40 ammo on sale in one of my magazines so I ordered 550 rounds.

The next week I had to go buy a .40 just so I could shoot some of my ammo.  Yes, it is a disease,

and it is contagious, and the only known cure is to fill your self prescribed prescription at your

local gun shop.  Many have caught the disease and it has taken away many boring and

unfulfilling lives only to be replaced by a future of fun filled hours of pleasure.

A buddy 'o mine gave me FAL mags for Xmas.  I don't have one.  I'm now obligated to buy an FAL, and I'm always looking for deals on .308.

I bought a Steyr SSG 96 because I got a set of rings for it at a gun show for $20. Made sense to me at the time.

I did the same thing.

Bought close to 2K rounds of 7.62*54R for two mosins that were being shipped thinking i would use most of them the first week.

I shot 120 and my arm hurt like hell.

Needless to say, i've got some mosin ammo stocked.

I own a fair amount of ammo for guns I don't own.

That doesn't mean it's not a sickness, just that if it is it's a common one.

Not strange at all. I would highly reccomend doing it for hard to find calibers. 10mm, 5.7X28 etc..

I had almost 2500 rounds of 7.62x39 before I ever had a weapon to shoot it.  It was just so cheap!

Buy low, sell high is my rule.  Take a look at a Shotgun News from 1994 sometime.  It will break your heart.

It does.

Paying more than $170\1000 of Xm193 back then was considered a crime.
Price gouging.

All I can say is that'll last you a long time most likely.  You won't have to buy 7.62x54R anytime soon.. And if you do, you're an animal.
