....to not want to donate blood? Let's say that its not something that is against your religion or whatever your belief system. Is it selfish to not want to donate blood just because you are uncomfortable doing it and think your blood should be kept where it was original put, in your body? I understand it saves lives, but I have never felt comfortable giving up my blood and never have done it. Some say it is selfish, some would say you shouldn't have to if you don't want to. What ya'lls opinion?

Gave blood 3 times... Passed out once. Was in college. Didn't eat any breakfast because I was late for class. Gave blood at about 1 in the afternoon, still no food yet that day. BAM! Out like a light

They bring a motor home with couches to lay on while donating blood to my company every couple a months. Free snacks... Gets you out of work for a while... So I will keep doing it when that thing comes by.

It's your blood, do whatever you want with it. If you don't want to donate it I won't think any less of you for it.

It's voluntary (for now, at least), so it's up to you.  I donate sometimes, not others - it's mostly about time and convenience.  I am a universal donor with no health risk factors, so they are always asking for my blood.

Nope, but it is selfish to not donate half of your guns and ammo to me.

I do whenever th bus comes by, i'm O+ so almost anyone can use it. My dad however can never give blood again since he lived in England in the 70's or 80's when he was stationed there

Ok My question......

I took the anti-malira pills in the Navy 20 years ago
(The ones than make you feel like shit for weeks).

I was told I could not give blood after for x amount of years

Am I all in the clear now?

ehh... i've never given blood.  I'm somewhat wary of mobile blood buses and half trained technicians sticking me with needles.  paranoid about catching something more than anything.
