I ordered a micro red dot from Primary Arms on Wednesday afternoon.
UPS tracking has it's status on the truck for delivery today. I am going to get this in 2 days with standard UPS shipping, didn't pay extra for 2nd day delivery or anything. |
UPS has a zone chart, ground sometimes only takes a day or two depending on how far away.
It is coming from Texas, according to the tracking.
I am just pleasantly surprised, I wasn't expecting to get it until next week, given when I ordered it. |
Damn.
Ordered a Streamlight TLR-1 from LA Police Gear this past Saturday at about 2-3 in the morning. Didnt ship till Monday 4/25 from L.A. Cali. It arrived in Memphis 4/28 at 12 pm. Left Memphis at 4pm. Arrived in Montgomery 4/28 at 10pm, left at 12am. Its supposed to be delivered to me today in Pensacola, FL. I guess we will see. Ordered a game for the fiancee at the same time as my TLR. I got it on Monday. It shipped from AZ. The game came USPS. TLR is comming UPS. |
Fuck no, in fact I think they might just slow time down.
For instance, I can't believe it's only been two days since I ordered some LaRue stuff |
I ordered some stuff from Midway and I got the delivery a day early.

I just checked on an Amazon order that shipped 4/26 from Cleveland OH to my home in Kansas City MO. Fuck me running. Uhm. Did it take a vacation to Miami before it comes to you? |
Is that email from UPS saying their packages will be disabled because of problems in the midwest legit? I get a lot of forged fraud emails claiming to be from UPS
If you go on the tracking page they have a statement about delays caused by the storms Wednesday.........those are legit

well with the NFL on strike, UPS is giving all the pro-kickers a chance to make a few bucks. They drop kick that shit further and faster than before
Doesn't seem faster to me. I always pick USPS from Primary Arms and its always 2 days from TX to OH. LaRue is always 3 days UPS. I can't think of anything USPS that hasn't been two days. Including a shipment from ID to OH.

I ordered a micro t1 from Larue on Monday and I'm counting on it coming today! I hope so! Larue t shirt as well. Gonna be gone for the weekend so I hope I get to wear my new shirt lol

Amazons tracking thing is always off from the actual shipping. I always run the number on UPS site to confirm but yes it does seem like they are always improving. I love UPS and my driver kicks ass. Fed Ex sucks balls and doesn't seem to care.
UPS just dropped it off.
Less than 48 hours from hitting the website to order, to having it in my grubby little hands. |
Looks good, although the quick detach base doesn't seem to really be QD. The lever doesn't seem to do much, I had to close the lever then tighten the bolt on the other side to get it locked to the rail.
The dot is exactly lined up with the tip of the front sight post. I will probably replace the sights with Magpul fold down sights. |
Even the post office is getting stuff delivered quick. Salt Lake City UT in three days.
No. Just no. UPS sucks, has always sucked and will always suck.

Just got an Amazon delivery today from some unmarked delivery subcontractor. Two day turnaround. I almost drew down when they parked in front of the house.

Some weird POS van pulled up with some shady looking dude carrying a box. It was my package from amazon. WTF!? |

I think I got mine in about 2 days flat, too. But I only live about 200 miles away.
Either way, Primary Arms are good people. |

Is UPS getting faster with the deliveries? NO!

I still would have been inquiring very closely had I seen that. It is common. Fedex Ground routes are "owned" by contractors. Sometimes they use marked trucks (I think they must have all the trucks they run full time marked), but when they need extras they use rental/lease trucks often. Gives them more flexibility and helps them beat UPS rates. OP, Fedex Ground is stills whipping UPS Ground on delivery times. I am getting 4 business day service to Southern California from NC, UPS gets it in 5 days sometimes, often 6. |

I don't get it. What's it doing in Miami? I have no idea what's going on - the package was delivered at my door a half hour ago. WTFBBQ |

There isn't any reason something from Texas should take more than 2 days. Parcels from those areas should just ride the train straight to the Jax hub without a problem.

Adverse Weather Conditions for my package that contains my tools.

Amazon 2nd day through UPS typically gets here the next day. (1 day early) This didn't happen as often until 2011.

Quoted: Quoted: ETA Did you order the limited edition Snap-On socket wrench that is compatible with Craftsman sockets? I ordered $1,300 in snapon ratchets and a EECS-400 battery, starter, alternator analyzer. I will have to wait until Monday to see if my CM sockets will in deed work on my new SO ratchets. |
