Irish incest couple plan to marry

They only found out after DNA test

By

IrishCentral.com Staff Writer

An Irish incest couple, who never knew they shared the same father when they met, plan to get married later this month.

They already have a child together after meeting in a nightclub and falling in love.

The man known only as James, never knew his real biological father and says he was prevented from finding out by authorities.

"The way I see it, if the system can know about things and hide the facts, then I can do the same — they turned a blind eye and so can we," the man, told the Irish Mail.

It is forbidden in Irish law for siblings to marry each other.

"People can criticize and say it is not right, but they should say the same about what was done to me in the family law courts."James said.

He  revealed his long struggle to find out who his father was, which was only resolved when he and his wife became suspicious and took a DNA test.

That would be fine with me... if they both got fixed.

It's not like the Irish is a race bereft of inbreds. In fact, aren't we, the Irish as a race, replete with inbreds? Hence, the law against it.

They're only half siblings... I'm fine with them marrying, but they should abstain from further reproduction.

There was a German couple that were full siblings that married and had kids.  I think they had four.  Two of them were majorly fucked up.

Somehow I think my fear of their offspring taking over the world is a bit unfounded.

As long as they don't expect to use tax payer money to help with their retarded babies then I don't give a fuck.

That's pretty typical of Irish from what I've seen.  One of the guys I worked with went back home and married his first cousin.

Yeah, but we don't typically care if lower forms of life intermarry too closely.

It's fine with me, Period. Their bodies, their business. I don't see the risk of birth defects any greater hazard than a 40 year old woman who makes the choice to get pregnant and knows the risks.

It usually takes a couple generations of inbreeding to cause problems. I'm taking the libertarian view to this, they aint bothering anyone so I don't particularly care.

Maybe not, but after that second sentence I'm starting to think it might have been you.
