Well, I think we will appreciate everything we have much more when I get home. We've only been married a little over a year. I was sent to fort benning less then a month after being married, spent 4 months there and came straight to Iraq. Fortunately Things are much different now than during OIF I and II so I'm able to call home every day that I'm not away from the FOB. She handles it well. We are lucky, our parents have known each other for over 30 years and they are all very supportive. Her father and I get along very well and he made sure she would be taken care of for me so all I would have to worry about is this place. At first my wife would make jokes about how she was going to get me kidnapped and take me to Canada. The other day she saw the news report about that pussy who is hiding in canada and she apologized to me. She said she would be so embarassed if I did something like that and even though she hates me being here she understands why I had to come. All in all I've faired so much better than many others. About half of my platoon is getting divorced and their wives are taking all of their savings/money and running off. A couple of them ran off during the hurricane which affected most of our company. http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/killer31/DSC_0126.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/killer31/DSC_0131.jpg |
