So I applied for and received clearance to attend an upcoming session. I then asked my agency for the following :
A) Travel allowance or use of a departmental vehicle. B) Hotel allowance C) On duty time. Invitation declined. |

B) Hotel allowance C) On duty time. One day for travel & one day for the conference. One would think (your mileage may vary) that an agency with 2,000 sworn officers would go along. If you thought yes, you would be wrong for A & B. Issue C is still not yet approved. I ask the hive, am I being unreasonable ? I thought for mere propaganda purposes only they would jump on this for the photo op alone. |
| DOJ is looking to establish a national task force. Re: Use of force, handling of demonstrations, training, juvi crime, engagement with communities etc. Don't know how that's a personal trip. As a high liability topic instructor for 22 yrs plus, I'm interested. I'm pretty disappointed in my agency response. |
