I can't imagine those speeds. My top speed for down load is 6.2 mbps.

Nice data rate, but ping time is weak.

That's sweet OP.  I have 50 Mbps and I find the 99% of the time it's way underutilized.  Only occasionally when I have a big DL does it come in handy.  And then sometime downloads are throttled at the source.

Netflix buffering is nearly instant though!

NBN isn't in this area yet, but this is considered great here and costs way more than I care to admit.

Edit lol faster than 56% of AU, that's sad.

Running Ting at work with similar results, OP. Had to get a new $3k router to eliminate the old one as a choke point.

That's more a function of distance than anything else in his case.

And weak for what?

hard wired or wifi?

That's pretty impressive.

Those speeds are available in town here but I am too far out.

I had DSL that downloaded at about 1.25 until two years ago.

Cable now.

Fiber and hardwire.  W-fi doesn't go that fast. Ever.

Round trip for TCP packets will limit speed a bit. Ran into this on a 25Mb MPLS line we used to have. UDP was fine, but TCP could never get the full pipe bandwidth.

I need to get a better edge router to pull my full gig down.

^^^ This.  I got Verizon FIOS 75 up/down and it's kind of a waste.  From my router I can see 12-15 down, max and 3-5 up.  That's with 2 netflix and 3 tablets/smartphones going all at the same time.  (Kids with friends over.)

From my iPad...

Last night I was pulling over 500 down....

Also using an Apple airport extreme router.
