Your doing it wrong.

Use chrome....
or Firefox w/ ad block and no scripts add-ons (you can even add IE tabs so you can quickly switch between IE and firefox in the firefox browser window itself without ever having to open IE)

I would stop using it if I were you, it took away the part of your post that described the problem.

I use it for IE-only stuff at work. I dunno, works fine. The interface is MUCH nicer (and a long time coming), though I'm sure the old codgers here will reminisces about how much better IE 5 was.

your joking right? IE was beyond worthless until after IE6.....when you could uninstall it finally.

before IE7, IE was tied directly into the windows file system, which made your computer extremely susceptible to virus's while browsing the web.

Joking about the old codgers who irrationally hate new stuff? No.

I like IE9 just fine.

The irrational browser hate escapes me. IE 9 is great.

OP, I had all kinds of issues when I ran the IE9 upgrade over the Beta. Fresh install of IE 9 fixed this.

Not seeing it. Looks fine. It's an animated .gif (recticle moves around), but it's not "flashing" or anything. All of the page elements are in the right place, too.

This. Goatboy needs to start scaling back the "IE only" CSS workarounds, when the browser is IE9. It's far more standards compliant than it used to be.

(Posted from IE9, this time).

Embedded videos do not show for me with IE9, I updated Java, reinstalled the flash player, did everything, no luck.

So I switched to Chrome.

I installed it and hated it, ended up uninstalling it and going back to IE8.

IE9 is filled with problems. It doesn't even fucking know I have flash 10 installed on it. I've installed it like 5 times, over and over again, and it still insists I dont have it.

I have to use firefox to watch flash videos and shit.

I have used IE my whole life (except for Netscape a looooooooooong time ago), I installed 9 and had horrible issues and lagging.  Now using Firefox.  Tried Chrome first, like Firefox better.
