I am tired of Internet Explorer and I am wondering if any out there uses a different browser. IE seems so slow anymore...

Any suggestions?

Give Opera a try also if they have a PC version of Camino it would be a good choice.

Another vote for Opera.

I've been using Opera for about 4 months and I like it alot. Keep IE around, though, because you will run into a few sites that you'll need it for. (For instance, I have to use IE to deal online with my credit card issuer.) I've not tried the email client that comes with Opera as of yet.

Firebird would be my default browser but there aren't any key combinations for opening a new location (example, ctrl-o in IE). I can't use a browser without that functionality.

Other than that, it's a great browser.

Opera or Firebird

Kind of hard to go wrong with either of 'em.

'Course, as I type this, I'm using a machine with only IE on it.

I'm using Netscape 7.1 as I type this. I have been using it for over a month now, and couldn't be happier. Blocks pop-ups, runs faster and is more stable than IE 6.0, and doesn't use the stupid ActiveX controls. And you can use Ctrl-Shift-L for opening up new sites. And free.

As stated above, keep IE for those special ocassions, but for everything else, use something else!

I've been running Opera for a couple of months now but keep IE around (only) for Microsoft updates

CTRL+L
It works in every browser I've ever used.  Firebird is my primary browser, too.

ctl-l opens a file, not a url

CTRL+L opens a new location, whether it be local or remote.  Try it.  In firebird, it highlights the text on the location bar, and allows you to type in anything you want, URL or file.  In IE it does the exact same thing as CTRL+O.

CTRL+O opens a file, in Firebird.  CTRL+L opens a location.  Try it this time.
