| Caught it this afternoon. Funny, bloody, and again, funny! |

There were spots that were excellent. But the movie runs well over two hours and most of it just blows. With the build up created by the Lt Raines recruiting speech, I was expecting some serious whoop ass. There was very little actual whoop ass. The whoop ass that they did show was top notch for sure, but there was just too much soap opera and too little whoop ass.
And of course what could be more insulting to Nazis than a Caucasian Jewish female being the lover of a French Negro male. |

I agree - I loved the movie, but was disappointed we didn't get to see more of the Basterds - especially Hugo Schmitz. |

Just from the cast, director, and preview, I know I would HATE this movie. I wont even bother to watch it. I cant stand I single POS QT put out AT ALL. And Brad Pit? Shouldn't he be out buying a new baby, or banging that repulsive beast of his? Geez lighten up Francis! Areeva Dur Chi! |

Kinda looked stupid from the previews. "hey- we should figure out what everyone hates- oh yes, the Nazis. Lets make a movie about killing Nazis..." IDK, maybe I just don't get it. Quenton has been wanting to do a WW2 movie for 2 decades (in his own words) |

I've been wanting to see this one bad, the little woman is going to take me next week some time. |

The movie was GREAT. My wife and I loved it. Wow.
I love how Terantino's spagetthi western influence is expressed. I love the story of Americans taking revenge. I love that the world will be watching this movie and it has Americans and Jews kicking ass. I can not wait to see the commentary on what the success of this movie means (in light of our current weak President who wants to shut down Gitmo). |

I've been waiting for this movie for months, and I guess I built it up a bit in my head, because I was disappointed.
The opening scene, suspenseful, good stuff. The Basterds, funny and bloody, good stuff. The basement scene, combo of the aforementioned, good stuff. The movie premier, nice twist, good stuff. The rest, not so much. I'll see it again and try and get over myself, I guess I just miss the style of Reservoir Dogs/Pulp Fiction/Jackie Brown, his later stuff seems long winded by comparison. |

I love how some of you are complaining how wordy the movie is.... Is a QT movie for fucks sake what were you expecting?? No different than the idiots who go see Michael Bay movies and complain about all the over-the-top explosions and destruction. Thankfully, some directors have their own style and do every movie their way. They aren't trying to make everyone happy, they're making movies the way they want to make them. Tarantino's movies are not for everyone. He likes it that way. |

If you hated Pulp Fiction, and you hated Reservoir Dogs, you probably aren't going to like any of his other movies. The man has his own style, and I personally LOVE it. His movies aren't cookie cutter, color by numbers flicks. I'll take a QT movie any day over the latest Spiderman/Ironman/X-Men/etc flick. |
