Reading the thread about the no bill that was given on the deputy sheriff's murder.
IIRC the no knock was because an informant told them that there was illegal firearms and the guy was a big grower. Only problem was the informant lied, most likely to get out of some kind of trouble.
My question is, could the informant be charged with murder since his lie caused it?

in a just world he would be charged and executed if he purposely lied and it lead to another's death in a bad raid

It appears that firearms were indeed on the premises, legal or illegal wouldn't have mattered as the situation would have been treated the same.  



I didn't read the thread you are referencing so I don't know if the guy was growing weed or not.  If he wasn't, then there is a problem.  If he was, then the informant did his job, (Maybe the informant exaggerated, but the basic facts would have remained valid).
