Yeah. Really not the ideal type of firearm for home defense. It could be used well enough by someone who practices with it though. That said I still want one because reasons, and although it's highly unlikely scenario for civilians. It would be a useful tool for breaching.

Shit, I'd probably get one just for shits and giggles... just for the novelty of it.

ETA: watched the maxim 9 video. Like Ian, my first reaction was curiosity about the operating mechanism. I have watched dozens of Ian's videos on Forgotten Weapons' channel, and I'm fascinated by all the cool shit he's found and how well he is able to research them and find information. A lot of the 'nonstandard' operating systems fascinate me. Like the Remington R50, and the Model 81 rifles (of which I bought two recently, and made a long thread about) to the Frommer Stop (there's one on Gunbroker for a decent price... I'm SO tempted to buy it!)... there's more than one way to skin a cat. Or fire a cartridge and load another one automatically!
