A mod locked a thread for a patently erroneous reason. I tried to IM him for a bit of good-natured ridicule/chiding, but the system informed me that he is not accepting IMs.  Does that mean that I am now at liberty to expose his capricious unwisdom by a callout in GD? Alternatively, can a mod lock a  "What gun did Al Pacino. . .carry as a sidearm in Cruising" thread claiming "Beat to death" and avoid richly deserved ridicule by setting his acccount to reject IMs?
