I've read elsewhere that Mexico is extremely harsh on illegal immigrants. If you want to make the 'progressives' cry, tell them we should make US immigration laws just like Mexico's - for "harmonization."

They are however very very tough on people entering their country from their southern border, why?

Second only to illegal drugs, remittances from their citizens illegally in the US is Mexico's major money maker, over 20 billion last year alone;

I have been saying this for years.

Take the entire body of Mexican national immigration law, do a find/replace with "USA" for "Mexico" and pass it as written. See how they like that south of the border.
