One guy in the second installment of Jurassic Park was carrying a HK91, I think.
I think I would go with a Mossberg 590 with Ghost rings and a side shell holder. I would like a good supply of Rottweil Slugs and 000 buck. I think I would get it ported to save my shoulder.

Biggest weatherby i can find.A 50 would be nice but could you haul around 50 pounds?
Hmm... Very interesting question. I guess it all depends on the circumstances. Would mobility be a major factor? I do believe a 50 cal would be on my list, probably a Barrett. Some kind of 30 cal would be there, maybe an HK 91 like you noted before. I'm not sure if a light smg would do much damage to anything that would pose a serious threat. Some type of pistol as a sidearm, probably in the .40 or 10mm range. 9mm just wouldn't cut it. Damn tough question, lets hear it guys.

Is carry the word we want here? You wouldn't catch me there. OK maybe you would. The shotgun wasn't a bad idea. I would need a minigun, a sh!t load of explosive devices, that sotgun, and bug spray. Oh and about 30 pounds more in muscle mass so I could carry it all.
I would probably have a Marlin Guide in 45/70 to carry around on my shoulder and have a Barrett Light 50 available in the Jeep.
I would go with a M-4 or a MP5. Uzi. The little razor dudes team up on ya, quick as hell. 3-5 shot bursts. Rock and roll!!

I would bring along one of these
cause those dinosaurs are freaking HUGE!! sgtar15 |
After thinking about it I think I would carry my .357 as back up, along with my shotgun.

Simple enough. If I were in Jurassic Park, what would I carry?

Wait scratch that. I want a 60,000lb steel bunker with an underground tunnel to the mainland. In my bunker I would like a belt fed 50bmg, umm I can't think of the name but it is a full auto gernade launcher, lots of barrels, ammo, and spare parts. Oh and I would still need some bug spray, ffod and water.
flame thrower scare em off and then throw em on the barby[:D]. Hey patriot dave can I bum a ride.

Laura Dern- directly to the comfort of my cave.

If I never had to get out of the vehicle, a 90mm recoilless with an assorment of HE, HEAT, and Flechette, a friend with a .460 Weatherby, a G3 or FAL, and my Glock 22 with 1 round of .40(for myself when the rest of the ammo ran dry)

It's the movies so
I'd bring some of those guys in the red shirts from Star Trek, a kid with lots of bad jokes, some candy bars for product placement, and I'd walk out just fine. BUT I'd also like to see if the 577 Tyrannosaur .585 750 gr. @ 2480 & 10240 ME/FP lives up to its name. |

A10 Warthog fully loaded or an ICBM...just turn the park into a crater!

I wouldn´t carry nothing, would be inside a god damn M1A1 Abrams MBT.

You would be best off with a SAW,or a M-60E3 or another 308 GPMG or something. The pack animals will probably bring you down,I mean, even today, heavily armed soldiers, with machineguns and G3s and whatnot,go missing in the Congo, just think what the dinos could do.In JP,you will probably die unless you are going to an extraction point or something, and you are leaving soon, having adequate weaponry will only slow down the process.Besides the pack hunters, look at the big carnivores.African elephants can take obscene amounts of firepower beofre going down, just imagine a reptile three times the size, and RAW reptilian muscle mass, and you've got a lethal creature, who can take high caliber hits, without going into any sort of shock due to it's mass and muscle.

Quoted: M1 Abrams Battle Tank would probably do the job. View Quote I think it would do. Now, if you want to talk about 'fantasy weopons', how about the Eraser EMP rifle? Or a Star Trek Phaser rifle (the newest one) set on kill? |

Phaser set on kill.
Edited because Kaliburz types faster than me. |
I would guess the Dino's would be fearful of noise...therefore I would bring a M203. A few choice blasts should spook them, and I could pick off with the AR any of the braver ones.
...with my current inventory, a M1A and 870 loaded up with a bandoleer of fun noisy stuff. |
My 10 pound pomeranian "Killer" to warn me, and a Bushmaster 30mm, mounted on a Bradley. (I think the M-1 Abrams is to much gun, and is unsporting).
M203, pretty sure a three round burst would handle a raptor, and somthing special for the T rex.

505 Gibbs exhibition grade english walnut. As a backup to the equaly nice .577 double.6.5x54 Mannlicher full stock for the light gun. Both bolt guns left handed. This is a fantasy after all, lets do it right

Thought #1 I would tow a wagon in with me. Inside would be Hillary. Why would any dino wastew time on my skiny as when he's got a fat hippo right in front of him.
Thought #2 A good pair of running shoes and a slow travel mate. |
Tri-mounted GE miniguns on my armored Humvee, along with a roof mounted HK 40mm FA grenade launcher(can't remember the model number at the moment). Fourth pintle gets a LAAWS. I don't care if it won't go through the car wash.
M-60's for the dudes in the Jeep. M4A3 w/ Aimpoint MComp2 and M203 w/ HE rounds, Mag-Chinched 40 round Sterlings. 3'rd gen. NVG's. Vang-comp Rem. 11-87 SBS. HK MK23 SOCOM on my hip. That would do it for real life, in the movie, I would be carrying around that GE Minigun. Juggernaut |

Thought #2 A good pair of running shoes and a slow travel mate. Maybe some Dino-Be-Gone repellant spray. |

Nothing!

A grenade, so I could blow my ass up if a meat eater dinosaur came after me.

m16a3 with m203pip, cmags, the most explosive short distance 5.56mm available, and modified short fuse 40mm wp and he grenades. and for back up usp 45tac with +p++ ammo..... the m203pip i'd keep slung over my back until larger ones were one scene. the rifle with cmags on full auto for most of the time.

the railgun from eraser or the laser rifle from the congo.
primary weapon:m60 (after about six months of working out) secondary weapon:AR pistol loaded with 40 grain bullets to help them keyhole. dont forget the M41a pulse rifle from aliens. the 10mm explosive tip rounds would help make short work of the raptors and compy's. when all else fails: tactical nuke [:D] suicidal lib |
400 grains from my Browning 1886 45/70 would most likely do the job.
