If the AWB isn't renewed which guns will you now buy, or which options will you add to your existing post-bans?

My AK-74 would probably get a folder.  I would put collapsible stocks on my ARs (M-4gery and 9mm) and I would build a FAL para and reinstall the flash hider on my G-1.

Since I live in Californistan I won't be able to buy any new receivers, but I will be able to reconfigure my existing ARs, etc. with pre-ban features.  That's exactly what I will do.

Few things about the AWB expiring.

First washington post article

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A51740-2003May13.html

Let the disimformation campaign begin !! (though the article does say its not getting renewed)

Second - How hard it it to tread AR barrels , think someone could set up at a gunshow and do it while you wait, sure he'd get a ton of business selling flash hider install while you wait.

Third - buy anything you can afford that you MAY possibly want , just because it sunsets doesn't mean there will not be a fight every year to a possible NEW ban.

Tt's ironic that I will become a registered voter ONE month before the 2004 Presidential elections.

I can garuntee you that I will not be voting for Bush if this gets to him and he signs it. That would be very unfortunate since I am strictly a Republican. Don't know twhat I would do in that case.

I've already got a couple of prebans and extra uppers, so I won't be buying any anyway.

But, I would like a FH on my (postban)DCM rifle so it would at least LOOK like a service rifle. [BD]

My RRA is getting a vortex and a collapsable stock.

I'd buy some brand new "LEO" only mags, and get a flash hider.

Should Armalite decide to build a decked out repro of the original 7.62*51 Armalite, and manufacture new waffle mags.  I'll commit to a purchase....

What I'm really going to do, is de-postify some of my 922r compliant postbans.  The PARS XG3S, Century L1A1,...

Even if the AWB does die, it won't change any Caliban laws. We have our own AWB.

SAR1 -- Thread the Barrel. Screw on a Silencer (All NFA Rules Apply). Switch to an Underfolding Stock.

AR15 -- Thread the Barrel. Add an A2 Flash Hider. Switch to a Collapsing Stock.

Uzi -- Buy a Norinco. Switch to a Folding Stock. Add a Normal Length Barrel so I can Screw on a Silencer (All NFA Rules Apply).

I'll definately buy the newly available LEO/Govt magazines, and probably buy a new upper with a Vortex or Phantom.

Buy new barrels and collapsable stocks for my post ban AR's, new furniture for my AK's, and lots of HiCap mags for the pistols.

Six position telestock, thread the barrel and add a vortex, buy hi-caps for the handguns.

I will probably buy a ton of hi-cap mags and various "pre-9/1994-ban" components, and several lowers.

Cus the antis will try to pass something again...
