It shall be banned. It shall be kicked off the island.
That is all. |

How about this instead? -
If anyone is caught shooting wolf at all - they shall be banned. They shall be kicked off the island. |
Wolf is substandard in almost every way. That is all. |
More for me to shoot. |
Great. I will continue to shoot real ammo. |
Especially in the "pain inflicted upon your wallet when purchasing a case for plinking" department! |
A real shtf weapon should shoot what it is fed reliably. If it won't shoot wolf, it's a pos imo. ymmv.
I feel the same way.
Although Wolf shall never regularly defile my AR, a rifle should be able to function with all sorts of ammo qualities. |
Exactly. So if you're AR can handle it... It'll handle any ammo out there. |
My AR functions flawlessly with Wolf. Not a jam in the 1000 rounds of Wolf put through it.
This is like arguing 9mm vs. 40 vs 45ACP.
It is stupid. If you do not like Wolf do not shoot it. If you like Wolf shoot it. |
Cool, I get to shoot you with one round of wolf, and then you get to shoot me with one of lake city, deal? |

[Black Baptist Preacher voice]The WOLF may be UNHOLY. The WOLF may smell VILE. The WOLF may be Russian, brothers and sisters. However, only the TRULY HOLY rifles may shoot it. As they are able to CAST OUT through the barrel and the ejection port the vile and villanous ammo. ONLY the RIFLES that are right with GAWD, my brothers and sisters, will function with the WOLF. GAWD will protect the righteous rifles, while those who's forgings were made with EVIL will not extract. FEAR NOT, my brothers and sisters the Russian demons, for if your M4 is right with GAWD then it shall cast out those WOLF slugs through its barrel, and those Wolf casings through that ejection port time after time after time.[/Black Baptist Preacher voice]

other than the smell, i have never had any problems with wolf...

Exactly what I was going to say!!!! I guess great minds/shooters think alike!!! Travis Btw: I not only shoot Wolf through my Bushmaster, but my Kimber .45's also. No problems what so ever! |
+1 Say whatever you want about wolf, but it IS reliable ammo. Dirty, innacurate, ugly, whatever...it has always worked for me and I suspect it always will. |
I run it through my AR, AK, Glock, and 1911, and it has never let me down. |
I get 3/4" or less 10 shot groups at 50 yards using Wolf.
Out of my 10/22 and using the Wolf Match ammo made in Germany. |
Wolf will jam for me every couple hundred rounds, gets stuck in the chamber, but the casing looks fine when I bang it out. Eh, for the $100 I save to plink with i'll deal with a couple of issues.
Why is Wolf such an evil word on this forum?
hinking.gif |
Gear queers hate it. |
It's comical watching all these people bitch about Wolf and how bad it is. I've ran a couple thousand rounds through my AR with no problems at all. Ya, you might have to clean it a little more, but for $110/1000 it's worth it. |
I love the smell of wolf in the morning.
It smells like......... |
After my Wolf bashing thread I am convenced that it is great ammo to plink with and I don't mind clearing the jams every 60-90 rounds. The funny thing is the more Wolf I shoot the better it will function in my rifle. Anyway you can't beat a case of ammo for $125.
That pretty much sums it up. |
Because all the Kool-Aid drinking, name brand wearing, gun snob elitists say so! BTW I love the WOLF!!!! Travis |
yep i shot it too see if it will work and it did but its not my first or second or 3rd choice |
The only good argument agasint Wolf ammo I ever heard was a guy
that didn't like it because it was of Russian make. That's actually the reason I don't shoot it anymore. I never ever had one single problem with it. |
Years ago I bought a ton at $40/1,000 in 5.56, 9mm, 7.62x39 and 5.45x39. Saved enough to buy several new weapons AND practice.

If your AR won't run with WOLF ammo , then it's too damn finicky to depend on in a SHTF scenario . |
Preach it brother! Amen from the back row! |
Wolf works well enough for me to knock down steel plates....
If a SHTF rifle can't feed all sorts of ammo reliabily, then the rifle needs to be looked at. |
For SHTF I admit I would use SS109 in my AR... But it is reassuring to know it functions just fine with Wolf and I can hit what I want as well.
If your rifle cant feed the ammo it is given, then you have a problem with your rifle. Unless, of course, in a SHTF scenario you are just hoping to find milspec NATO ammo just lying around in perfectly sealed mint condition boxes everywhere you go.
Out to 100 yrds There is no loss of accuracy in ethier of my AR's, or any function issues. After sighting in with my "Go To" ammo, Wolf 62 Grn. is good and inexpensive practise ammo. THe smell is not nearly as bad as people say it is, and it is not that much dirtier either. In fact my rifles get a bore-snake and a wipe down of the bolt and carrier and that is it. As stated before, if your rifle can't shoot Wolf reliably, then your rifle has problems.

Ammonia! (sp?) |
