If I ever have to shoot someone breaking into my house or some other such lawful use of force, when the time comes for the media cameras to come circling around
and they want to interview me, here's what I'm going to say (or some variation thereof) "Thankyou for you interest but due to the chronic misrepresentation of gun owners and gun rights in the media, I will be conveying the details of my story to the new media, i.e. internet blogs & forums. You may read about today's events at www.ar15.com, or perhaps http://www.thewaronguns.com/ or www.falfiles.com. Now please get off my lawn before I have to blade you at 45 degrees. Goodnight" |
Please don't name drop. You can say the rest, but don't name drop ARFCOM, they'd probably throw you in jail.
And I, on the other hand, promise ARFCOM I WILL NOT do that.
But I won't just not do it for all of you...I'll not do it for me too. |
everything before the first comma is GTG. dont advertise us to a billion trolls please. its bad enough as it is
Here's mine.
Yo yo yo... I just wanna say WAZZUP and holla a shout-out to all my hommies postin in tha G-Dizzle... This shit is proof that .45 > 9mm fo realz yo... What up now all y'all h8ers? |

I believe "No Comment" would probably work more in your favor.

Maybe I would be less specific. But definitley I would rebuff their questions and tell them why. Just today on the radio I heard the phrase "2nd amendment rights of hunters for hunting" makes me sick. Is that narrative out of some playbook to brainwash people via repetition? Barf.

They should have a "Don't Talk to the Media" video to go along with the "Don't Talk to the Police" one....
than while walking away say "fuck what an adrenelin dump......fuck you arock."

Just remember to wear your 3 wolf shirt and the media will be eating out of your hand.

'No comment'. If you actually had to shoot someone, you will wish this is what you said! Real life is much different than the internet. |
no, no you won't.
in fact your head will be spinning so fast from all the legal and civil implications and police interviews and lawyer consultations and how to pay for your grand episode that you'll just duck and hide from any media that attempts to interview you..................if your half way intelligent that is. |
Because, "I was in fear of my life," is just too complicated.
sounds like you desire the attention and would want the media on your lawn and would be upset if no one showed to talk to you-which would probably happen because deep down no one cares about any shooting you might be involved in...unless you wanted them to and if thats the case you should probably get some help

This is the best advice that you will get in this matter:

Don't talk to the press and sure as hell don't tell the press about a gun board where you hang out. That would be a bad idea. If I had to shoot somebody today I sure as hell wouldn't be logging on to ARFCOM to talk about it. |

Boy, the prosecuting attroney would have a field day with that liitle news clip.

Yours was little better than his. Also, can't you request the police not release your name to the media? |

If I am ever involved in a shooting, here is what I'll do....
...everything I can to keep my ass out of jail, including, but not limited to, staying the hell off of ARFCOM during the entire ordeal. |
