I deleted his phone number from my address book. :/ This is my 2nd friend/acquaintance who has killed themselves in the last 5 years. Starting to wonder if I'm a bad friend. I only occasionally visit this thread but i am glad it is here. I am sorry to hear about this djkest, but don't despair. It is hard to read people sometimes and he did not share it with you. Guilt is a natural reaction but it is NOT your fault. Misery is often contagious and you can choose to welcome it or reject it. It likely sounds odd coming from a stranger, but I do know it hurts to lose anyone, even an acquaintance from suicide and I understand (at least somewhat). It touches everyone connected to the deceased, even peripherally. Find someone to talk to if you can, but do not despair. |

I made one of the worst professional decisions I ever made a couple years ago. I gambled, I lost. I'm broke. I used to do quite well. The last thing I'm gonna do is end it because of that. Just gotta get back on the horse. No it's not a great time. It sucks. But what the fuck else am I supposed to do? All of those decisions were mine. There's no one to blame but myself. I have trouble sleeping sometimes because I know the bills keep coming and no way to pay them currently. This is my fault. Only I can get myself out of what I created. To anyone that thinks you have it bad, you're not alone. I'd bet 99% of it is your fault though. Get mad all you want. That is the truth |

That is the truth Sometimes it is our fault and sometimes it isn't, sometimes it is something more. While it seems the world can be against us, there is One who is for us and He did for us, what we can't, in order that He can bring us to Him if you put your faith and trust in Him. This year has been a hard year for me and my family and we have felt part of our joy pass from us. Without having Jesus and putting our faith and trust in Him, I don't know where we would be. Jesus gives us hope and joy like no other. We can live forever with Him, even when this world says you are nothing and deserve as much. I am not saying everything will be perfect in your life after you accept Him as Lord and Savior of your life, but we can have hope knowing this world isn't the end. Whatever happens here, is just a blip in your existence beyond it. There is nothing more beautiful that I would like to here when I die than God to say, "Well done my good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of your Master". I put my full trust and faith in Jesus/God and it makes this world a different place. |
Be the change you want in this world.

988 don't fail me NOW! Breath, I had a nice conversation with the lady on the other end. We talked through some things. I came to the conclusion that I was experiencing a personal schism, and maybe I should pump the breaks. Take a day or two off for mental health and try again. She assured me that they would always be available to talk. Went in open minded, by the end we were cutting it up, self deprecating. |

I'm sorry y'all. I didn't reach out for help, I didn't do anything I should've done. I just downed a bunch of pills last week hoping for the worst. It didn't work and I've got some broken ribs from a fall. I had to spend a week in a psych ward, I'm really not sure what else to call it. Now I'm out and rebuilding myself. I hurt so many people with just an attempt. Please, please, please, don't be stupid like I was. Reach out, talk to someone who knows you and you'll realize how quickly that the big end is not the answer. |
