I want an MP5K clone chambered for 10mm. With magazines for 10mm. It can be SBR'd later with the folding stock, the works, but for now it'll be a carbine.

Where would I get one and what would it cost me? I'm sure it'll be obscenely expensive given that it's over-engineered German wank material. In any case, it's coolness exceeds the kraut factor, and I really just want a 10mm semi-auto SMG clone.

Oooh... What about a 10mm MAC-10 instead?

How about a 10MM belt-fed 1919A4?

MP5K Chambered in 10mm Never knew such a thing even was made.

Well I want a redhead with double Ds but you don't see me making threads about it now do you

Yup, they make 'em. A full-auto post-1986 MP5 chambered for 10mm was stolen from a gunshow last year.

And if I'm not mistaken, Steyr AUG has one too.

Probably not the same gun.

It looks like a really neat-o full-auto
it was discontinued
I think the fbi got all or at least most of them

As I understand it, FBI wanted those when they were doing the whole S&W 10mm thing years and years ago. Ammo commonality is a good thing, and full-auto 10mm love is just as good.

So it looks like the only way I'm getting an MP5/10 is by buying an MP5 and getting it rechambered for 10mm?

I bet magazines are going to be a bitch to find too.

Yeah, but they decided that the 10mm recoil was too heavy, and the .40 was "just as good"

Someone had a bunch of MP-5/10 kits for sale awhile ago. I forget who now; maybe Ohio Rapid Fire. Anyway the kits where genuine, de-milled H&K guns and they cost about $900.00 US. Even if you had a kit I have no idea where you would get a receiver from other that Todd Bailey, that's if he even makes a 10mm.

ETA: Isn't Vector Arms coming out with an MP-5 clone in 10mm or 40S&W later this year?
Link Posted: 8/31/2005 8:44:59 PM EDT
Um I realize its not the same but why not SBR a oly arms 10mm?

Hopefully, I haven't heard anything since the initial hype.

I think he was questioning the "K" model which was never offered in 10mm to the best of my knowledge.

Actually you'd have to buy a HK94 and get it rechambered for 10mm. All the "transferable" MP5s began life as HK94s.

Would you be able to fire full power 10mm in full auto or would you need 10mm lite?

I tried a few boxes of Doubletap through a Glock 29 that I used to have and I needed a shoulder rub and a cigarette between trigger pulls.

as previously stated, vector is advertising an mp5 in 10mm on their webpage as "comming soon." Its been comming soon for about a year. Vaporwear? I dunno.

hk did make a mp5(10mm) fbi hrt uses them, ted N loves'em. there is a co. that will be making them in the future ohio somthing. we talked with them 5 months ago and they would be making them soon. somthing about moving there location. most bad a$$ smg ever i think, unfortionatly hk was not so keen on them the fbi got most of them.

if you havent noticed i like 10mm, other smg 10's, armilight, (uses uzi mags) you could make a mac- in 10(mm) anything in 41ae or 40sw could be converted(41ae would be a pain) most of the time re-chambering the brl, and swaping springs gives you a head start, MOST 40sw mags will also fit 10mm. just keep this in mind... you cant beat 10mm in a smg. just wicked cool

What you just described is a Frankengun. It is beyond what nature intended. Villagers with torches and pitchforks would destroy it in a burning windmill.

Weren't there some police trade-in MP-5s that CIIIs swapped for brand new smgs. I thought some of the police trade-ins were transferable too.

ORF advertises both a 9mm and a 10mm.

Granted they aren't K models.

For a "manufactured as" MP5 to be transferrable it would have to be imported prior to 1968. None exists as far as I know.I don't believe the MP5 was even in production yet.

All "transferrable" MP5s registered prior to the 86 Ban were HK94s that were either registered receiver or registered sear conversions.

Any factory MP5s purchsed by law enforcement prior to the 1986 ban would be a pre 86 "dealer sample" and are NOT transferable to private individuals. While many Class III dealers did in fact trade these for brand new post 86 "dealer sample" MP5s they still aren't transferrable to individuals.

Nope. Not entirely true. I can hook you up with ONE transferable, 100% German-made genuine MP5K. It's probably the ONLY one too.

Not possible. The MP5K wasn't available for import prior to 1968. It is either a DS or a SP89 conversion.

I too have heard that theyre 1 or 2 100% original and tranferable MP5s. Not MP5ks.....just MP5s.

That is possible. The HK54 was known as Project 64 and early variants (probably marked HK 54) could have been available for importantion prior to 1968. I'm just not aware of any.

Hk MP5k PDW 9mm SUB MACHINE GUN, THREE PUSH PIN SWING DOWN REGISTERED RECEIVER. YES YOU SAW IT HERE, THIS IS AN ALMOST NEVER AVAILABLE AND NEVER SEEN HK k GUN WHICH IS 100% FACTORY CORRECT! THE FIREARM WAS BUILT WITH ALL CORRECT GERMAN PARTS USING ALL CORRECT ITEMS INCLUDING MP5k COCKING TUBE. THE FIREARM HAD ITS ORIGINAL CONVERSION BY FLEMING AND WAS THEN UPGRADED BY RALPH AT R.D.T.S.

100% Factory Correct is NOT a 100% Factory Gun. This was a SP89 Conversion by Bill Fleming.

If you want a 10mm MP5, now is the time to start buying parts - they seem to be more available than ever... Mags can be found for anywhere from $60 - $180 each.

The MP5/40, MP5/10, and MP5/357 are pretty much the same gun with different barrels. To build yourself a MP5/10K you would need to get a 10mm barrel (hard to find and HK never built a 10mm K style barrel), then get a MP5/40 parts kit (still hard to find, somewhere around $900-$1000), and then a receiver of some sort (usually a HK94 cut up with a 40/10/357 mag well grafted into place or you can take your chances with a SW receiver that is coming out in 40/10/357).

Anyhow, to get from a regular sized MP5 to K style, you would need those parts as well. Next you would have to find a builder willing and ABLE to do this - maybe along the lines of IGF or if you are really rich Murray Urbach. If you are dead set on one and are independently wealthy contact Gordon Miller and he will get the parts and have Murray do the job - his current MP5/10 builds run right around $10,000 delivered, all parts supplied....

Spooky

If I'm paying $10,000 for an MP5/10 it better have an extra selector position on it.
