I cloned my display to my TV (LG 42" LCD 720p if it's relevant) and, although everything else shows up on the TV, video won't. Pretty frustrating, considering the reason I wanted to hook up the computer to the TV in the first place was to watch movies. Any suggestions?

Some laptop drivers/software use functions to screen scrape your primary video display and then then shove it out on the external output. Alot of media players put in countermeasures to stop screen scraping as a method to pirating movies. Try using dual screen/monitor mode instead or select the tv as your primary monitor.

Outstanding! The simplest answer is often the best. I can't believe I didn't think of that earlier. Selecting the TV as the primary monitor did it.
