I was at the local Pawn shop at lunch today.

On the shelf was an old Win 94 in .30 w.c.f.  for $175, which I did not really pay attention to (I already have a '94 in .30-30) until an old guy asked to see it.

Turns out it was made in the 1930's and blue book was in the $800+ range for 70% condition or so.

I should pay more attention.

Don't despair, if you are in the Seward area you are surrounded by some very nice pre 64 Model 70's. Keep your eyes open.  I am going to walk a way from a Mutt AR which has some parts I desire and think I could part out the rest and come out good. I hate to miss the boat but as of late I've caught too many that sunk. I'm going to give it a rest.

I have a bad habit of buying any firearm I like, in working condition, for under $200.

I was in a shop a couple years ago and a colt python caught my eye but the owner was asking $650.00 , perfect cond, and blue was immaculate.
I asked if he would take 600.00 and he countered with $625.00.;
I said OK , and do you have the org colt blue plastic case?
He said yes and the book too.
I said sold.
As I was looking at the serial number my eyes went wide 00016

To think I almost missed that colt.
