| So aftet I spend an hour shopping I get denied cigarettes in the C/O line because my SO didn't have her ID, I had my ID I was paying for everything. After telling them to stick it up their ass because we both are in our 30's, and I damn near have a full beard. The clerk says she ID's everyone that looks over 10 and under 40. So we leave all the groceries and come out to the car to find half eaten donut sitting on the hood. Rat bastard didn't even have the common courtesy to leave a full one. |

Should have just asked an 8 year old to buy it for you then. |

So you left all your groceries over a pack of smokes? Why? Now you gotta go somewhere else and do all the shopping again. Couldnt you have just stopped at a gas station and ran in for like five minutes? Its the principalities, they are the devil, and we are boycotting them because they never have ammo and refused to sell us cigarettes. Funny thing is I bet they wouldnt have ID'd me for baby killing ammo. |
|
Seriously. Build fucking 30 registers and only a single digit amount will be open at any time.

You should have been buying your groceries at a local grocery store anyway. Why spend 50% more for your food? I like supporting local shops, but paying more for groceries just to pay more for groceries is an extremely quick way to waste money. Things must be a lot different out there than they are here. Wally is not much cheaper than the locals when the locals have sales. Ask the Wally meat guy to cut you a special steak. Oh wait a minute. Wally doesn't have a meat guy. Wally produce sucks. Their store brands which are the only things that are significantly cheaper are crap. Day in day out I can find better deals on better quality than WalMart because I shop. Yeah I hate WalMart too. |

You can observe it yourself if you compare produce between wal-mart and a grocery store. Like take bell peppers as an example, at my local store they're almost always firm and ripe. At wal-marts you have to find "diamonds in the rough". |

It wasn't Publix, was it? I've just had great luck with my local grocery store, to where I very rarely have to grope fruit. |

I haven't bough grocery since at wally world since then |

Seriously. Build fucking 30 registers and only a single digit amount will be open at any time. ![]() There are 24 numbered lanes at our Walmart, plus 8 self-checkouts. On a good day six lanes are open. And at least two of the self-checks will be down.

OP you do know the state sends dickheads out to buy smokes without ID and if the cashier goes along with it then BOTH the store and cashier get a nice fine $$ to pay for not IDing someone ?? Sorry, my give-a-fuck meter is broken over this issue but if you can't be bothered to carry ID don't get pissy when someone else doesn't want to pay for your stupid tax for you or SO forgetting your ID.
Someone was fined & fired here at a local stop-n-rob for making a judgement call and not IDing the guy. About $500 worth total for the store and employee IIRC. |

yeah walmarts pretty shitty sometimes.. was very very sick one night went to walmart to get some medicine. self checkout was the only one open. it asked for id noone around to verify id i was told someone would be right up. waited 15 minutes still noone.. threw up all over the self checkout and floor. still waiting embarrassed. another 5 minutes i just left.. had to drive 20 miles to find a 24 hour walgreens.. wasnt happy i rarely go to walmart anymore.. |

You state that you are currently sporting close to a full beard. Perhaps that was your problem! I know for a fact that most Walmart employees detest anything less than a truly "full" beard and will harass people sporting only partial beards, even refusing to sell them cigarettes when they are clearly in their 30's.
wait 6 months, let your beard fill in, then return and seek out the same cashier and attempt to buy cigarettes from her. I bet it will be a completely different experience, filled with pleasurable memories. She may even give you the secret "full' beard 10% discount. |

I like supporting local shops, but paying more for groceries just to pay more for groceries is an extremely quick way to waste money. I guess this is a good place to start. Generally, I avoid grocery shopping at wally world because their food sucks. The steaks are bland and the fruit mediocre. The spices are tasteless. The bread is okay, though, and large quantaties for the buck like powdered milk and cheese are probably at a somewhat higher mark....................but other than that...................... Be a little bit more patient in life; it will be easier on one's nerves. Calm down, breathe, smell the roses. Or, to put it another way.............who died and made one the God of the check out queue? __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ("The Major's account is entertaining to say the least; it's perjury to say more. No, to be fair, I'm sure he does remember it that way and it was winter in Korea, 1953......other than that, though............,"--Hawkeye, (w,stte), MASH, "The Novacaine Mutiny") |
