This cold has got me all kinds of messed up. Got to the point where every time I cough, the sinus pressure practically drops me to the ground. A sneeze feels like a sledge hammer to the face.

Anyone have a grandma’s secret recipe they would like to share?

Jewish Penicillin.

Plus drink plenty of fluids, and plenty of rest.

I just got over a cold too.  Thank goodness for mentholatum.

Regular Nyquil has been a standby of mine for years but my sinus problems are minor compared to some people.

Mucinex D, you have to go to the counter to get it... don't get the DM or the other crap on the shelf.

Irish whiskey, honey, and lemon juice heated on the stove (equal parts).  It rules.

Phenergan with codeine > Dextromethorphan

I'm just sayin'......

Of course, I'm allergic to codeine, so I end up with the Tessalon Pearls.

seriously though anything above seems to work, try chicken noodle soup and Vitamin C and drink more than you normally would of clear liquids... you gotta piss out the cold.  I rarely take drugs to clear up colds.

from a gun nuts perspective a whiff of Montana Extreme bore cleaner.  opens sinus' and makes eyes tear up, might even give you a quick high becareful though its mostly ammonia.

I've always wondered if that works.  Or the horseradish.  (Or wasabi for that matter.)  I hate 'em all, so I've never tried.

No, no, no.... you've got it all wrong.  ZOFRAN for nausea.  Phenergan w/ codeine for a cough suppressant.

And valium for motherhood.

This, but do not add the whiskey until the other two parts are heated or you will loose the alcohol content due to evaporation. This is the Grandmothers recipie, protect with your life.
