Ok, I bought this little fucker for the wife. Now I have to figure out
how the damn thing works. I have dragged and dropped mp3 files into it via windows explorer. It shows that the files are on the IPod, but when I plug the earbuds into it, there is nothing NaDa. It will not play shit. The onboard software did not load up. didn't do squat. Is this another "no common sense engineer's device" or am I retarded? Is it another defective POS from china? |

Yea, same. If it weren't for iPods, I would completely disassociate myself from Apple. Fortunately, I don't have to rely on their software as well.
I think the most current versions of Winamp support iPods without any plugins. But if they don't, a quick search at the winamp site will lead to everything you need. |

I re-flash wife's iPod shuffle in this way:
http://shuffle-db.sourceforge.net/ now she's able to copy/paste mp3s via windows explorer and get rid of iTunes,already 2 years  .
btw. I hate everyting with "i" infront

I must be gettin old ....
I just do not understand the fascination of them things. I listen to the radio in my rig when I am out driving around and sometimes I listen to the stereo play CD's at home .... but I never have the yearning to have earplugs in and music piped into my melon 24/7
