Admins, I'm having frequent issues with my IMs. It started a few days ago, a lot of the IMs were cut off or I couldn't see what the other member had typed at all. Now I'm occasionally getting the same problem, and my Unread Messages says "-1" off and on. Anyone else having this issue? One other guy told me he was having similar problems a few days ago. |
If you get a partial IM, that's nothing the system is doing, as it's not setup to cut anything off at all. What you get is what was sent. As to the "-1" that shouldn't be happening, but could happen in theory. Just a fluke display bug. Make sure you have fresh pages (SHIFT+Reload the page) as it is most likely old pages that are caches with the -1 showing. |
| The cut off is definitely happening, but I can't come up with any explanation. If it were just IMs coming from others, I'd buy that, that they screwed up the message. But three IM's that I sent to others were cut off in my sent folder, and the receiver reported having them cut off too. |
