Yup Ive been trying to be easy on it The 4k rpm limit was tough to abide to but I mostly did 6k was easier and the bike feels like it wants to run in the 4-6k range for putting about and smooth shifts. Tac runs up to 10k before redline Maybe itll really wake up after 6k rpms but I would not say mine is very quick. Then again I didnt buy it to win any races  Still a ton of fun though |

Out of abundance of caution I took the lower fairings off and put some rubber tubing over the crash bars, didn't need that extra protection fortunately. Some of the drills were challenging on a bike that size but I came away a lot more confident in low speed maneuvers. |

Went and rode with a buddy. Weather app didn’t call for rain until tonight lol headed back home I could see the biggest dang rain storm imaginable. Most the way back was alright. About 10 miles out it was straight downpour and flooded streets Few stream crossings were up to my boots lol Never got squirrelly or anything though. She did good. Eventually got home. Guess I tested the waterproofing real good Finally opened her up a bit before all the rain. Feels like vtech kicks in on it past 6500 or so. The power is all up top. Sounds different up there and pulls a ton harder |

Bought a cheap stand you just plop it up on Damn holy shit I just barely could get it up on there. About blew my dang knee out throwing it up and onto the stand But I got the chain nice and lubricated since it got absolutely drenched Looking the whole thing over while it’s up there Bit past 300 miles now |

Got it back up on the stand a bit easier this time Just gotta kinda grab and throw and it’ll work. As well as giving it a nice lean. Shimmy the rest Anyways I’m just a little south of 400 miles now Going to drop by the Harley place this week to get checked into a class. Looks like it’s basically every weekend here on out starting next month for awhile Looked like there were plenty of spot open but I’m going to go ahead and and get one secured Really thoroughly enjoying this purchase. Been nice to even just go down the street on and grab little things needed for dinner and such that we happened to be out of kinda thing |

Traded in my 2015 Yamaha R1M on a 2025 Triumph Speed Triple 1200RS today. Loving it so far, feels like a nuclear powered scooter and it has a great front end mid corner. Suuuuper comfortable, hardly had time to play with all the setting and I’m already in love with the standard modes and the 3rd gen suspension is sooo plush-worlds better than the first version on the R1M. It’s just soo nice to ride, I didn’t realize how much I had come to dislike the Yamaha until I had to ride it in rush hour traffic to take it to the dealer-I was well and truly Over It. | Take a rider safety course from your local DMV is all I’ll tell you. A dual sport is a completely different animal to a cruiser. Depending on your area “defensive riding” is not enough, you really need to be offensive. Being constantly on the look for assholes and obvious soccer moms got old and I became a full time ‘ cager.’ |

I forgot how fun naked bikes are because everything feels faster on a naked. Even if the naked is actually stupid fast. Attached File I'm too old for a supersport. The bars on an MT-10 are something like 9 inches higher than the clip-ons on an R1. |

Congrats op! Get good quality riding gear! It's as important & damn near expensive as the bike but will be comfortable & WAY cheaper than the hospital! I just picked up the Alpinestar Plasma 5 Airbag vest, Paranoid X AAA rated Kevlar lined armored jeans, Pando Moto UH Commando stretch mesh knitted BALISTEX® fabric summer jacket, & brake-free helmet light for example. Get motor cross boots if you decide on singletrack too! |

I went on a Sunday morning ride. The weather was beautiful and traffic very light. Close to 400 miles on it now and almost done with the break in. ETA: I stopped at the store on my way out to get some foam ear plugs. Much better! The wind noise was so bad that it was what I imagine working on a carrier flight deck is like on previous rides without them.

I was a little constrained by rains this weekend although I did do a fair bit of wet riding. Attached File I haven't been wearing earplugs though because I have been enjoying the sounds of freedom from that pipe. Also, G20 OWB at 3:00. |
