OP....
I first saw Terminator as a kid in my Central American shithole home, on satellite TV and we were poors.... Where have you been?  ETA: I'm in my 40's now....I have it on DVD and watch it every now/then - like a month ago on PlutoTV. |

As far as I'm concerned, it all ended with T2. The rest of them were awful and were a move away from the atmosphere/aesthetics of the first 2. They lost their grittiness and raw feel, and turned into modern Hollywood garbage.

From what I understand Ah-nuld originally auditioned for the part of Kyle Reese There was also a deleted scene where two human resistance members were sent back to the past, but one of them was going to end up fused into a fire escape |

That scene in the Tech Noir club is one of my favorites in movies. It's on YouTube.
It's got so many Hollywood things in it, it's great. Reese racking the shotgun in slow mo, Arnold's laser site even though he's a fucking robot, an Uzi with bottomless magazine, car chase with squealing tires in every second of it. |
