Haters gonna hate.

I bought 4 of them this year, one was new (well, it has a 2014 date code, .40 stuff sits around a lot ).

|
I hate these wall of text threads where the OP goes on and on at length, and in excruciating detail, describing the endless nuances of some new gun they bought.

I haven't bought any new ones but picked up a SIG 229, Smith M&P, 4006, 4006TSW And 4013TSW all police trades and each a good buy. Thinking about an HK tactical in .40 as well.

I'm more of a 9 guy but it's mostly because I'm cheap and have girly hands.

In!
I pick up my new .40 tomorrow. Tanfoglio Limited Custom Xtreme |

And just a pathetic imitation of 10 mm. The only redeeming quality is buying a 357 sig barrel and throwing all your 40 SW ammunition down the toilet. |

First pistols I ever shot/bought are 40S&W (Glock 23). I finally decided to buy a Glock 19 this year, I guess I can see why those who are recoil sensitive would go with 9mm.
9mm is cheaper to shoot though, I'll give it that, but my heart will always be for 40S&W. |

My next personal firearms purchase is going to a .40 as well. Glock 35 Gen 3.

I did a month ago, new Glock 22 for $399. Dad has a few thousand rounds of .40, figured I could help him shoot it
*I do still have a .40 USP C too somewhere in the back of the safe. |

It’s been a lame week, and it’s Friday night, so why not have some fun? Besides, the caliber isn’t the only part that’s less than popular, so I figure it’s best to savor the hate one frosty pint at a time. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes |

So when you swapping out the barrel to .357Sig to redeem yourself? haha

Anyway, I don't know why he bought a .40. I don't own a bumpstock, myself.

Nope. That would probably be a more practical reason to buy one, power factors and all that. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes |

I like the .40. Bought two this year, myself, but I don't think they should ban bumpstocks. FNFL

It's ok OP, picked up my HK P30 Light LEM in .40SW last week. I like it. Barely any recoil.

My first hand gun was/is a .40cal, I like it. I also don't understand those that say it is snappy. My Bersa thunder .380 feels more snappy than my XD40.
All that matters to me is I can consistently hit my target with it. |
|
Only use is for Major PF
which shouldn't matter cause we all know 9mm works as good as 40 and 45 |
|
I'm up two this year. A FN FNS, and a M&P 40CT. Both were new with one coming from Bud's, and the other coming from KYgunco. They both had casings in the boxes. The FN was made in 2012, and the Smith 2013.
They join their other brothers, a Sigma, second M&P, and a Glock 22. |
|
Congrats OP.
The only .40 I've picked up this year was my 226. |
|
When the 40 first came out (30 years ago?) I went out a bought a Sig 229. I had been watching the cartridge developed and I was one of the first to get it. I carried it for a while but eventually switched to a 45 XD Springfield because it's so much smaller. The 229 rarely gets used but that's about to change as I just bought a 22 conversion for it.
I recently thought about selling all my pistols and getting a Glock 43 and calling it good. |
|
Come to my house...I have about 400 rounds of .40 and two .40 barrels for handguns that I'll likely never use.
