But I get what OP is saying. It’s the commitment. At the bar you’re only committed to 12oz, maybe 16 if you like the tap. But at the store you’re committing to 12 beers, not 12oz. How are you supposed to plan on what flavor you’re going to be in the mood for on the third beer? Or the third night?

I'm so very happy I dislike IPAs and can be just fine sipping on a Guiness. Rock solid consistency, available around the world, and not too expensive for a casual drinker. Even better that it's great from cans.

The old Schlitz (or new Schlitz, as the case may be, produced from around 1977 to 2010 or so) did provide a convincing imitation of that water that pools at the bottom of dumpsters

Believe it or not, Schlitz won gold in the Great American Beer Festival at least in ‘92, probably more. Old Milwaukee and Signature also often placed high. They’re what beer is supposed to taste like. Not the horse piss domestic light shit or the stupid hipster IPAs and wheat beers.
