So I was thinking this morning: ![]() You just committed a crime, a felony. Your standing in front of the judge and he gives you a choice, either spend the next six years in a state penitentiary in which your felony will be dismissed at the end of your sentencing or take the felony charge and walk free. What would you do? |
| Walk free of course. 6 years is a major dent in my life. And then i would try to get the felony on my record taken off after he lets me walk of course. Get a lawyer see what you can't do. Worst come to worse, i'll just be like all the other felons who have guns ilegally. |
Then you’ll have two felony convictions on your record with a nice 8 year sentence to go with it ![]() I'd do the six, I like my 2A rights to much. |
|
For those of us who don't believe in reincarnation, that 6 years is VASTLY more valuable than "felony" on your record. Not to mention what your rectal odometer would read after a 6 year stint in the clink. You might be out in 6, but you'd show up with a size 3 sphincter and leave with a size 48. Six years locked up simply isn't an option. |
If I have already comitted a crime, no less a felony, what makes you think that I wouldn't obtain a gun illegally anyway? All gun people should already know that's how it works....ie why gun laws don't work |
Are you serious, you believe that? I have known plenty of people who got into trouble in thier younger days and turned thier lives around and have perfectly good jobs. |
Oh you know people who have felony convictions and gotten good-great jobs in the government sector? Funny, I always thought federal law enforcement and other government agencies frowned on having felony convictions.... |
Did I say jobs with the government or LE? No. There are plenty of other good jobs. To the OP, sorry for the highjack I just don't agree that if you have a felony you can't get a good job and turn your life around. |
The private sector is much larger than the .gov |

You can still get a job geesh.
