Picked up 5 80% 30-rd AR mags, all blk followers, 180 rds of China Star .223, 20 rds IMI .223, all boxer primed, 4 good cond. USGI 30-rd mag pouches, 1 FAL mag loader, 5 M1A/FAL stripper clips, 1 M1A stripper clip adaptor.

$130.  A little high, I think.  But the guy was a friend, and my over paying now may help me later.

Not bad. Out of curiosity..my issue FN had a "channel" in the body cover designed for clips. You locked the action back..dropped a clip in and pushed it down with your thumb into the mag. I don't remember ever seeing a mag loader. Maybe the officers hid them all!![:(!]

I'm no expert on FALs, but the mag loader is a common device among metric FALs.  I'm assuming your FAL was some derivative of the Inch pattern Brit-issued L1A1?
That top cover mag clip capability is used to advantage by DSA, who make a fixed-mag FAL for Kalifornia sales.  The fixed 5-,10-, or 20-(?)rd mag is loaded via 5-rd clip through the top cover.
FWIW, I'm beginning to think that some of the Inch pattern FALs, with their sand-cut bolts, superior controls, and now this top cover loading capability may be best of breed.
