How do you remove them. I cannot figure it out on this recent purchase. Any help would be appreciated. Does anyone make wrap arounds for this gun?

Drive the pin out with a roll pin punch. Either direction, it doesn't matter. Use a small slotted screw driver at the base of the grip any pry it off. The grip basically clips on. Hogue makes rubber grips but I've never seen wrap around grips for a 3rd Gen. Smith.

One more thing. The Grip retains the main spring as well. So keep that in mind when you're taking the grip off.

When I was carring mine as a duty weopan I had to put the Hogue universal pull over grip on it.  Made it much more controlable than the slippery thin standard grips they come with and fit my habd better. RnR

All my 3rd gens have come with factory, hard plastic wrap-arounds. All were quickly replaced with Hoque's rubber wrap-arounds. Hogue also makes nive woods grips for them.

Pachmyer makes wrap around grips. I tried a pair but they made the grip too fat due to the frame design.

you take a sledge hammer and pound the hell out of the gun, when the frame is smashed in enough to where you can look into the magwell between the grip and frame, you might be able to tear it off. try that. and be sure to take pics.
