The highest here in Oklahoma City (that I have seen) is about $1.85-$1.87
What is everybody paying? |
$2.04 gal for 93 Octane in Tulsa.
(I drive a Maxima, and yes the manufacturer recommends high octane and YES IT DOES make a BIG difference in performance vs knocks/pings) |
You non-Kalifornians are luck sons a bitches. I pay between $2.15 and $2.27 a gallon, depending on how OPEC wants to screw me over. California has all of these extra ingredients to gasoline...stuff to make it meet various clean air standards, and it makes our gas more expensive than every other state. Shit.

$2.67
San Franacisco. actualy about 15 minutes south of sf. open up A.N.W.A.R. |
Average is about 1.85-1.90
And my Maxima HATES anything lower than midgrade, and really don't like that. Dammit. SG |
$2.15 for Regular unleaded :(
Went up 15 cents in 3 days last week. |

$1.85 about 80 miles south of you Oklahoma Lawman
1 station in town is at $1.94 for 87 octane..... |
Paid 2.35 for 89 octane on Friday. 87 (regular) was 2.25 or so and 91 (premium) was 2.45.
It's not OPEC screwing us CA'ns over in this case. It's our governors Pete Wilson, Gray Davis, and Arnold Schwarzennegar. They collected contribution in exchange for mandating a unique formula of gasoline for this state (cuts down on competition). This is done through CARB whose directors are appointed by the gov. |
$2.06/gal for 93 octane. southern N.H.
yeah, i know i know i know, "you don't need an octane higher than that specified in your owners' manual" . well, i tried that and the bitch pings, so i spend the extra to keep it quiet. |
I filled Sunday for $1.859 and drove by the same place today and its $1.959.
Gas: Regular filled up for $1.99 (her car)
Diesel: Filled up for $1.59 (my truck) |
I cannot believe this crap... CA gas hasn't gone up percentage wise as much as Texas has...
In the summer of 1999, gas was $.89 or lower per gallon in TX... and when I visited CA that winter, it was $1.65+ per gallon.... Now CA is around $2.00, and I paid around $1.89 today in TX! WTF? |
Yesterday (Sunday) paid $1.83 for regular unleaded in Mid Mich. Seen it as high as $2.14 at a Mobil on the way to work.
$1.989/gal 87 octane here in Philthadelphia burbs just a few hours ago
2.17 today for premium. Haven't owned anything that likes regular since 2002.
Hoping for better weather (it's been about 4 days of constant rain) so I can get the bike out & save money... Wisconsin has an AUTOMATIC gas tax increase (eg it goes up without a vote every year), and an anti-competitive 'minimum markup law' that artificially increases gas prices to proetct 'Joe Blow's Corner Pump' from BP/Shell/et al... Gas wise, we're the Kali of the midwest - I've seen Premium neer $2.27. |
$1.78 for regular unleaded here in Knoxville. And, TN has one of the highest gas tax rates in the country.
$2.069 reg. unleaded.
This is BULLSHIT! Crank up the wellheads in OK, TX and LA...fire up ANWR...import more from Venuzuela and Siberia...get the Arabs out of my wallet. |
$1.799 for 87 octane.
I look for it to increase again in the next two or three days. |
$1.96 this morning. As an aside the guy who carried my groceries out to the Red Beast tonight decided to tell me how it is that it's all Bush and Cheney's fault that gas is so high because they are oil men and how did I feed this thing? I avoided rolling my eyes as I explained the OPEC and tree hugger facts of life. Don't run into too many liberals here in Southeast Oklahoma.

Its not OPEC, its your states taxes on the gasoline |
Cheapest around here was $1.85, but that is an anomoly here. It is $1.99 at most places here
$2.23 and a bit more.
Haven't seen anything under two buck in over a year. |
By $0.03 a gallon according to a recent government study. Three cents worth of difference. |
