(posted in the Ammunition forum, but thought I'd ask it here also)
How many loaded stripper clips can you fit in a 50 cal. ammo can? Also, where's a good place to get bunches of stripper clips and some guides? I'm clueless on where to look. Thanks

Not sure how many you can fit in a 50 cal can but heres the place to get the clips and guides. Many guys here have done business with him and have heard nothing bad about him.

I don't know the answer, but maybe I will try it tomorrow.
Bandoleers and etc are available at Fred's Stocks.(freds@centernet.net) $6 per bandoleer & $1 per 10 clips.
Dillon also sells .223 SS109 loaded in clips in bandoleers.
I like to keep my ammo in bandoleers.

I can second the recommendation for Wu's Surplus. Great prices, and great service. Follow the link supplied.

Rather than count all those rounds out by hand, it is simpler to weight the can and calculate the num,ber of rounds from the weight.

On strippers, in bandoleers, I would guess 720.

Pockets refers to number of pockets in bandolier. Each pocket holding two 10-rd stripper clips, in cardboard silencers, and one stripper clip guide per bandolier.
