I posted last week that I sold my first and only AR last year and had to buy another a couple weeks ago to feel complete again. My question is this; how many users do not currently own an AR? How are you coping?

i do not currently own an AR, although i DO have a "black rifle", a Rem. mod 700 22-250...and thats how i cope. would like to own an AR sometime in the near future!
I've got 5 so that makes up for 4 or you!
Got a sixth upper that's yellin' at me to buy it a lower for it too.... |
I don't own guns. Y'all own guns? I thought this was a joke-of-the-day website. Sheesh, have I been jipped!
I don't own a nifty black rifle. I didn't discover the joy that is the AR-15 until almost a year after they were completely banned here in CA. I have an SKS, it's black, but it's just not the same.

I live behind enemy lines in the Democratic Peoples Republic of Kaliforistan.
Got involved with firearms after 9/11 and purchased my first gun August last year so wasn’t involved with firearms/RKBA when you could still get one here. However when I DO get out of this socialist hell-hole and move to a free state the very first thing I intend to do is walk into a gun shop and tell the person behind the counter “I’d like that AR-15 over there please.” Give them my credit card, fill out the 4473 and walk out with said AR. It will be my personal Independence Day celebration I do own a couple of black rifles. An M1A Scout with Aimpoint and a scoped Tikka Whitetail Synthetic, both of them black as night [:D]. My GF just did the paperwork on a Savage 10FP in .308 today. Doing our best to piss off the grabbers, one gun at at time. |

Just "crossed over" last week. Got my first AR which happened to be a Pre Ban Eagle Arms for $650. I love being the only person at my school that owns an AR15 [:D]

The real question should be:
Who owns less than 6 AR's. Judging by some of the pics posted, some of us have some serious gun buying/not selling issues. BTW: ordered my 300 Whisper upper last week and bought one of those team member SOCOM lowers this week. That means I have an extra lower...time for my next project... |

I don't have a complete AR yet, but I do own a stripped lower that's awaiting completion once I actually have some money that doesn't have to go right back out the door to my lumber suppliers, etc.
I also have a 30 rd mag thanks to 82ndAbn. |
I guess I don't own a "true" AR. Mine are made by other folks and don't actually say "AR-15" anywhere, or are issued, and say cooler things, like "M16" or "M4."
I have only 1: a bushmaster V-Match flat top
I need to get myself either another AR with ironsights or at least an upper so I can lear to shoot with them instead of looking through a scope |
None for me. Arrgh, I attend school in a liberal sh*thole.
Coping? I work a lot so I'll have money for ammo and fun toys for when I graduate and get the hell out. |
You should add "more than one" and "more than 5" to your poll...
4 here. |
I don't own any AR's. But I saw one once. Alas, it got up and ran into a school yard when I approached it. Fortunately it was summertime so the school was vacant. Nonetheless, I was pretty moved by this event. So moved, in fact, that I returned later that night and burned the school to the ground, AR and all. It was the least I could do. For the children.

At last count I had 8(three Cav Arms, two PWA, two Tromix, one RRA), in various stages of assembly and dissasembly. All are at least complete lowers...I'm just a freak about reworking my uppers, so the parts are all over the place. Buying Magpul buttstocks for unfinished firearms doesn't help any, either[:D] I'm in the market for about 3 barrels and 3 upper receivers right now, just to wrap things up...
No AR15? C'mon, that's like "No teeth" or "No lunch". I don't know what the hell I'd do without one, or three, or five, or seven... J. |

I had a pre-ban Colt and Bushy, but sold them to buy a bunch of AKs. I miss the Bushy. It was a shorty with 11.5 barrel and Browning flashider. Just today I bought an ASA lower (and an Imbel NGL FAL receiver) at the El Paso gun show. The ASA receiver will be the base of an AR heavy barrel project, so I guess I'm back in the game. I probably should've bought two of them, but will see how this one works out first.

I only have one. I am poor. Someday I hope to count my stash by the number of safes, not firearms.
I found ARFCOM when I was putting together my first AR, then I traded it off for a couple curio/ military rifles and went for a few months without an AR. Recently I built up a 16" AR, so I'm back in the fold!
I have one, or do I have 2...Not sure, but I know that I am a proud owner.
Used to have a PreBan...Back in '85...Wish I still had it, but it was full auto and I was living in California at the time and was scared that I might get caught jackrabbit hunting with it. Oh well... |
I bet if you did a poll on HOW MANY, we would have more than enough to cover every members need in a pinch.
I sold mine, I just wasnt happy with the reliability, sometimes I could shoot all day no
problem, and sometimes it would jam several times, even with the same ammo, same mags, AR's always seem to malfunction at the most unexpected times, and sometimes they jam and it takes a while to clear the malfunction, the design is a little too sensitive, not rugged enough, I'll take an AK any day. [argue] |
I don't have one... Although this year will try to get a FM FAL FSL [:)]
NsB |
Warning to Newbies, I was a year on this sight before I bought one, now I am up to three.
I would like Class Three for my 4th, but it is going to take a little while to get the cash together. |

I started out with one, just one. It was a small one, but it led to another...Then I left the two of them in a dark gunsafe together, alone, and they began to multiply, and then, and then and then...Ha!~HA!~HA!~HE!~HE!~HE!~HO!~HO!~HO!!!
